Since early 2007, we have been giving Berlin based artists an opportunity to exhibit their paintings in our café. The art loving audience is already there, after a movie experience or a visit to the theater next door, and appreciates the opportunity to discover a new piece of art while enjoying a glass of wine, a nice conversation and beautiful music.  The guests may explore the paintings for themselves without feeling watched themselves or having to get into an exchange about it, like it may be in a public gallery.

The paintings become an integral part of the room for the duration of the exhibition. It is always amazing how the room’s mood and depth changes with changing the artwork. On the other hand, the art’s character is enhanced through the livelyhood in the room.
